Web Developer - 3-6 Month Contract (Closed)

Web Developer - 3-6 Month Contract

Our client is a modern defined benefit pension plan and industry-leading innovator in helping more Canadian workplaces and their employees participate in a sustainable pension plan. We are looking for a strategic, creative and innovative individual with experience in information technology, web development and tool building.

About the Opportunity

• You will play an important role in our software development team to develop and support public facing and internal web applications
• You will design and implement well-maintained websites based on the .NET platform using Umbraco CMS as well as other third-party modules and systems
• Your knowledge of website architecture, including Microsoft IIS, will allow you to lead the infrastructure design of a multi-site platform that developers will find efficient to use and allow content managers to effectively manage multiple websites
• You will also use your expertise in business process automation to improve business productivity
• You will create technical documentation to reduce support and maintenance effort
• You will deliver training to staff on the websites that the team deploys

About You

• Knowledgeable in the design and execution of modern web application builds
• Experienced with Oracle 12c, MS SQL Server and is proficient in SQL, PL/SQL for Oracle
• Along with at least three (3) years of proven experience with development in a .NET environment help to make you an ideal candidate
• Expert level knowledge of C#, and .NET 4 framework including ASP. NET MVC using Visual Studio 2012 or newer
• Hands-On expert in creating high-performance web application leveraging popular JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular JS) is a strong asset
