Tax Senior (Planning)

About the Opportunity

Our client is the leader in the tax industry in Toronto specializing in Canadian, U.S. and international tax services. Their services include tax planning for local business and multi-national corporations, estate planning for families and international clients and a wide range of other tax services.

We are looking for a responsible and analytical individual who is interested in pursuing tax as a career. The ideal candidate should have a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and be proficient in the preparation of Canadian individual and corporate tax returns, possess good communication skills, be a team player and ensure deadlines are met.

About You

The successful candidate will be trained in tax through the following:

• CPA Canada In-depth tax course Part I, II and III
• Our in-house training program and seminars and on the job learning

The successful candidate will work with partners and managers on various matters including:

• Assistance in preparation of planning memos
• Research on specific tax issues
• Modeling of tax computations related to planning files
• Liaison with the Canada Revenue Agency
• Preparation of Canadian corporate, individual and trust tax returns
• Preparation of foreign reporting and tax election forms

Salary Range

$70,000 - $80,000/year
