Shopify + Ruby Developer

We are looking for a talented Developer to work within a growing web team in a large well-known Canadian retailer. They are building out a Shopify development team here in Toronto. This is a brand new initiative for the company.

About the Opportunity

• Development of Liquid templates for the ShopifyPlus platform
• Contribute to the analysis of business requirements and contribute to the design the recommended solution
• Development of the implementations and all third party software plugins
• Actively learn and develop your skills, and work toward helping to coach junior team members
• Detailed debugging, thorough testing and documentation of results
• Document all issues and/or change requests made by users and work with the team before any programming is done
• Solutions design integrating with the ShopifyPlus API and all third party software using Ruby on Rails
• Detailed debugging, thorough testing and documentation of results

About You

• Strong web development background (5+ years)
• Strong understanding of e-Commerce concepts
• Experience with Shopify development is required (ShipfyPlus is preferred)
• Experience with Ruby on Rails development is a must
• Experience with Javascript is a big plus (eg ReactJS)
• Solid experience building and integrating through Web API’s
• Independent, strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, multiple project environment with strict deadlines

Salary

$100,000 - $115,000/year
