Senior Payroll Specialist - 9 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Coordinate effectively between Tax, Payroll, Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Immigration and HR functions to ensure smooth employee setup and management
  • Manage tax equalization process and ensure proactive follow-up to ensure tax returns are coordinated and that international employees are clear on the activity
  • Support day-to-day administration of Expatriate processes and transactions in payroll and HRIS systems
  • Educate Expatriates with respect to their assignments including Expatriate policy, international assignment agreements, immigration, visas, issue resolutions, allowances and premiums, as well as tax requirements
  • Resolve issues affecting Expatriates or their assignment, including assignment extensions and repatriation
  • Provide periodic reports to Management regarding Expatriates movements, costs and other issues

About You

  • Payroll certification/designation PCP or CPM; certification in both the US and Canada preferred
  • 2+ years of Expatriate assignment experience, relocation assignment experience, Global Immigration experience or a combination in a HR corporate environment
  • 5+ years in payroll and benefits, union payroll experience preferred
  • Workday Payroll experience preferred
  • Customer Service experience

Pay Rate

$35 - $40/hour
