Senior .NET Web Developer - 3 Month Contract (Closed)

ARE YOU A SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER WHO THRIVES IN A CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT? Our client, located downtown Toronto, is hiring a Senior Web Developer to join their growing team. This will be a contract role with the potential for extension or becoming permanent.

Senior .NET Web Developer - 3 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Develop, maintain and support new and existing applications and websites, adding features, and optimizing website performance
• Follow defined development standards
• Interact with the marketing department to determine and understand business requirements
• Analyze, diagnose and resolve errors related to applications
• Designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software according to internal specifications
• Development on a Drupal CMS platform
• Perform other technical related activities as determined by the marketing department
• Research and evaluate various technologies to meet business requirements
• Research and recommend automation and AI possibilities

About You

• Post-secondary in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of working experience in a web developer role
• 3+ years of Database experience (MySQL, SQL Server)
• Fundamental understanding of Object Oriented PHP development in an agile environment
• Solid understanding of DOM manipulation and JavaScript coding concepts
• Communicate complex technical information in a manner that is understandable to a broad range of stakeholders, including the different business units, IT operations, QA and testing
• Experience with Drupal CMS platform version 7/8 developing custom modules and themes
• Experience with Source Control such as GIT repositories using TFS/VSO/Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding and working experience PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Knowledge and Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or other Cloud Platforms
• Experience testing your code is required
• Strong understanding and working experience with Web Services/API's
• Knowledge of Ubuntu
