Senior Manager, Finance - 8 Month Contract

Our client is seeking a Manager, Finance for one of its largest revenue-generating divisions.  You will be responsible for providing accounting policy guidance to teams and analyze and interpret current financial performance specifically relating to capital.

About the Opportunity

• Provide classification guidance over the division’s annual strategic projects requesting capital funding
• Responsible for IFRS 16 - leasing standards and impact on financial reporting
• Reviewing and approving financial transactions and entries related to capital spending within the projects
• Manage multiple projects and core activities simultaneously ensuring tight deadlines are met
• Understand the business and become a subject matter expert in the division’s business initiatives to provide accounting policy guidance on ad-hoc requests
• Proactively identify opportunities for process and policy improvements and implement change where required

About You

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) accounting designation is mandatory with 5+ years of working experience, preferably at a large public accounting firm or in a similar role
• Strong IFRS technical accounting background (IFRS 16 preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS applications including Excel and Word

Pay Rate

$40 - $50/hour
