Senior Financial Analyst - 3 Month Contract to Permanent

Our client is sourcing for Senior Financial Analyst for a 3 month to permanent opportunity.

About the Opportunity

• Provide the Business Unit with comprehensive finance support, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Provide in-depth variance analysis on all components of EBITDA
• Working with various functional support groups within the organization including but not limited to Sales, Trading, Risk, Settlements, and Financial Reporting
• Develop financial models to understand the impact of short-term operational and long-term strategic decisions on enterprise value
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Assist the business with financial modeling and business case development on potential investment opportunities, including new products, capital expenditures, acquisitions and third-party partnering
• Support various ad hoc financial analysis requests
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve the financial performance of the business
• Drive financial and operational process improvement initiatives

About You

• University degree in finance, accounting or economics
• Minimum three years of experience in financial planning and analysis and business partnering role
• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting
• Energy industry experience is preferred
• Results oriented
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Analytical thinker who excels in a deadline-oriented environment
• Accepting and willing to take on both complex and simple tasks
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong communication and management skills

Pay Rate

$35/hour
