About the Opportunity

• Strong working knowledge in GL Accounts; preparing monthly journal entries under tight month-end deadlines
• Analyze financial accounts on a monthly basis and prepare account reconciliations using BlackLine
• Provide meaningful analysis, in-depth review and detailed commentary on month-over-month financial results on a monthly basis.
• Ability to work with database queries is an asset
• Provide supplementary and ad-hoc reporting / analysis as required
• Identify and execute process improvements for month-end close process and reconciliations
• Liaison with auditors; providing required information and explanations
• Prepare supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements
• Partner with various individuals within finance and the business to improve control and efficiency
• Risk and Control mind-set.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of Policy and Procedures to enhance internal controls

About You

• CPA designation
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting / finance experience
• Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
• Audit & Controls experience preferred
• Commitment to improvement; provide and implement recommendations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated team player and flexibility to changing priorities
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong MS Access, experience with databases, data reporting/analytics
