Senior Finance Manager

About the Opportunity

The group is responsible for the company’s consolidated capital budget and forecasts. The group also provides insights to monitor retail projects' capital performance. The successful candidate will contribute to the capital budgeting, forecasting, post investment analysis and review of strategic initiatives.

• Manage total company capital forecast on a periodic basis; liaison with Senior Finance leaders to understand the forecast and analyze variances from previous LE and budget
• Analyze capital business cases and understand the financial opportunities/and risks associated with the business proposal; risks are presented to Executives to provide guidance on investment decision
• Supporting Business Unit/Operations Finance in the Retail Capital Investment approval process by providing guidance on feasibility of projections based on historical Capital Performance and stores current performance
• Generate presentation for Executive Management that summarizes post-investment Capital Performance and Return on Investment on an annual basis
• Assist in the enhancement of the Retail Capital Approval financial model
• Lead the 2020 capital budget and 3 year strategic plan
• Consolidate total company capital expenditure and ensure reporting is accurate and timely
• Preparation of senior management presentations and ad-hoc analysis
• Assist in on-going process improvements and documentation to enhance efficiency
• Mentor and coach direct reports

About You

• University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Accounting designation CPA/CA or CFA
• Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within a Finance or Retail environment
• Previous experience with capital markets (private equity firms) is an asset
• Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to interact cross-functionally and as appropriate with Senior Management
• An analytical and creative thinker, with a track record of delivering results
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently and manage priorities simultaneously to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to translate seemingly complex concepts into clear and concise presentations
• Notable problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail

Salary Range

$90,000 - $100,000/year
