Senior Cost Accountant - 12 Month Contract

Our client is currently a reputable manufacturing organization located within GTA.  They are currently in need of a strong Senior Cost Accountant for a 1 year contract. The ideal candidate will be a very hands-on individual with prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.

About the Opportunity

• Oversee development of plant operating performance metrics and reporting
• Ensures that all monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements and related schedules/analysis are produced in a timely fashion
• Maintain Standard Costing System
• Review, provide relevant comments and monitor the monthly financial performance of plants / processes / cost and profit centres
• Incorporate cost models into inventory standard costs and update periodically
• Lead the periodic standard costing update project
• Responsible intercompany balance reconciliation, monthly accruals, journal entry logs and spreadsheets
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation and audit binder
• Preparation of financial statements and analysis
• Prepares a variety of reports periodically or as requested

About You

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA designation
• Five years of relevant work experience
• Must have prior manufacturing experience with standard costing
• Above average Microsoft Excel capabilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Pay Rate

$35 - $37/hour
