ARE YOU A SENIOR ANALYST WITH AN EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND IN DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING CMS IN A SUPPLY CHAIN, PROCUREMENT AND EDI ENVIRONMENT? Our client, located in Mississauga, is currently hiring an experienced analyst who can write code in RPG within their CMS environment.

Senior Analyst - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Support and maintain the existing IT systems utilized by the end users in their region
  • Provide functional expertise and knowledge for any IT System that is being implemented in support of the IT Roadmap and Strategy
  • Support of Supply Chain activities within the chosen ERP Systems
  • Proven experience with Material Resource Planning (MRP), Master Production Scheduling, Finite Scheduling, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), P2P Transactions, Customer & Supplier Portal Access for Data Sharing
  • Work with IT Business Partners to achieve an aligned Business and IT Strategy
  • Production Reporting, System Integration to Manufacturing Systems
  • New Plant Builds that require Setup of Production reporting systems
  • Ensure changes to the system, configuration and/or code changes undergo and follow proper Change Management processes where multiple levels of approval are provided and that fail-back plans are put into place
  • Provide functional expertise and knowledge for any IT System that is being implemented in support of the IT Roadmap and Strategy
  • Ensure all updates, hot fixes, and patches are applied to functional servers running ERP applications to guarantee most updates functionality is available to business users
  • Perform necessary tasks, using proper channels and change management procedures to ensure existing customization does not conflict with core functionality
  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements
  • Troubleshoots, test and debugs existing code
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans
  • Implements newly created code and fixes into existing software
  • Provides programming support for various interfaces
  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes
  • Complete project bids and/or work effort estimates
  • Interacts with customers to gather system requirements

About You

  • A College/University degree in Information Technology
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain experience and working knowledge of CMS ERP and Standard EDI Practices
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in RPG/RPG IV/RPG ILE/SQL RPGLE/CL on the IBM Power system
  • Extensive experience in SQL
  • Develops solutions requiring analysis and research
  • Works on small to large project that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in various business areas
  • Works on one or more projects as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead
