Senior Analyst

This position is responsible for administration of vendor rebates. This is a unique opportunity for a strong systems inclined person to be a key player in the financial operations of the company. Newly acquired software will be utilized to ensure reliable data is inputted for calculations to deliver accurate rebate accruals. Success in this role will require a self-starter, with a strong analytical mindset, who is keen to understand the financial data and operating activities of the business.

About the Opportunity

• Perform the Corporate accounting function as it relates to vendor rebate administration
• Perform system administration of the rebate system
• Collect and apply vendor rebate payments
• Run reporting for collection and analysis
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence team to ensure data transfer into the rebate system is accurate and relevant
• Partner with Sourcing team to ensure vendor agreement and accrual rates are accurate
• Ensure financial close is timely, accurate and questions from management and business are answered
• Process journal entries, adjustments, and accruals related to rebates
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Work with Financial Reporting to ensure that period-end reporting is accurate and complete
• Initiate and introduce system and process improvements by researching new offerings in the market and best practices
• Serve as point of contact and liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with group policy and IFRS
• Comply with internal controls ensuring they are performed and delivered as per Group requirements

About You

• Undergraduate degree
• Completion of or working towards the CPA designation is an asset
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience in Rebate Administration/ Accounting /Finance /Operations /System Administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Continuous improvement mindset and superior organizational skills
• Advanced Excel, SQL queries, Tableau and experience working on integrated ERP software

Salary Range

$75,000/year
