Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager - 3 Month Contract

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant / small company Controller resource to assist them due to a resignation.  

About the Opportunity

• Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of internal financial statements and reporting to parent company for use in global consolidation
• Liaises with external accountants in preparing Company’s annual financial statements and corporate tax filings
• Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, monthly operating results against budget and forecast and prepares ad hoc analyses to support decision making
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Post and reconcile cash, update cashflow forecast
• Oversees all aspects of general ledger including posting of journal entries in coordination with parent company
• Ensures compliance with accounting standards and policies, as well as federal and provincial tax requirements
• Correspond with Corporate HQ departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses

About You

• CPA designation
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE etc) and proficient with MS Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work at all required levels including doing hands on accounting and reconciliation work, handling Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable etc. through to financial statement preparation and analysis

Pay Rate

$35/hour
