Sales Analyst

About the Opportunity

• Development and maintenance of all sales reports, including custom reports as well as accuracy checks
• Analysis of all Division, Region, Customer, Brand and Product sales and margins
• Assist in the preparation of key account reviews by providing:
  • AC Nielsen summaries
  • POS data reviews
  • Channel analysis and reviews. Develop a tracking system to monitor selling costs and promotional spending including co-op, listing fees, discounts and penalties
• Develop and maintain a tracking system will monitor spending on a regional, territory and account basis and will be recapped to sales management monthly
• Assist with the set-up of territory, region and account quotas based on historical trends and future planned activity
• Assist in the preparation of the yearly sales budget
• Calculation of sales bonus/commission earnings
• Assist with special projects for senior sales management
• Analysis of ROI of sales and marketing programs and events, through comparative year over year reporting
• Participate in cross functional teams specifically in terms of sales and marketing reviews and competitive reviews
• Other duties as required by the company from time to time

About You

• 3 years+ w/ finance or sales reporting
• MS Excel (intermediate - lookups, formulas, pivot tables)
• College/university diploma/degree, pursuing CPA (asset)
• CPG industry experience (asset)
• Outgoing, people person
• Flexible and can work without structure
• Can speak to non-finance people about numbers
• Professional and work with confidential information
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
• Collaborative, multi-tasking, ability to build a relationship with a variety of people, organized, ability to make independent decision.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000/year
