ARE YOU AN INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR FUNCTIONAL QA ANALYST WHO HAS WORKED ON CLOUD BASED OR WEB APPLICATION TESTING? Our client located north or the city is currently hiring an Intermediate/Senior QA Analyst on a 6 month extendable contract.

Intermediate/Senior QA Analyst - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Review and analyze system and application specifications
  • Translate business requirements to test plans, then review test plans and cases to ensure all requirements are covered and to specification
  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results to be presented to senior management
  • Report bugs and errors to senior members of the development teams as well as the Test Lead
  • Assist development teams with troubleshoot testing issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and development teams to ensure the highest standard of quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Conduct testing of new features; assist with manual regression testing as required
  • Assist Business Analysts in defining proper Acceptance Criteria at the story level
  • Assist in defining and preparing required test data
  • Very quickly ramp up and understand the technical and functional aspects of the clients product architecture

About You

  • Degree/Diploma in Business or Information Technology (or equivalent) with 3+ years of quality assurance experience with a focus on Web App and Cloud testing preferred
  • Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (JIRA or TFS) and regression testing
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and TSQL
  • Experience with SoapUI, Postman and Zephyr
  • Experience with Selenium
  • Superior communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated, diligent, detail oriented with a “Can Do” attitude
  • You must be a strong team player but also able to manage your own daily tasks as assigned
