Programmer/Developer - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

Our Toronto based client has an urgent need to hire a Siebel (8.1) Developer to work on enhancements to one of their business-critical applications to improve functionality and support new programs and evolving business requirements.

  • Better visibility and monitoring of client engagement that will enable them to assess program performance
  • Improves accessibility to information – single, consistent system of record across the organization
  • Increases customer satisfaction – efficient and effective electronic filing and tracking of applications process, reporting and communication with the business and enhanced service standards
  • Improves reporting – consistent and on demand reporting across programs and business
  • Improves resource management – automated common resource management functions to improve administrative efficiencies for both internal and external users
  • Business continuity – improved standardization and automation of transfer payment management processes to improve transferability and communication among programs, business and customers
  • Providing hands-on design, implementation and configuration of the various components of Siebel 8.1, i.e. Business Objects, Business Components, Screens, Views, Applets, Business Rules, Assignment Manager, Workflow & Scripts
  • Develop analytical and insightful recommendations to meet deliverable targets and complete tasks within budget and to customer satisfaction
  • Produce design documents for all assigned deliverables related to maintenance releases
  • Provide input into test strategy and test case development for GOS
  • Develop and produce test strategy for the application
  • Providing input and solutions regarding Siebel capabilities and functions
  • Contribute to and Participate in non-development/configuration activities, namely but not limited to, documentation updates, presentations, testing plan development, project quality check points, etc.
  • Participate in repository performance tuning and troubleshooting activities
  • Develop performance tuning and best practice guidelines
  • All other tasks as assigned by the Cluster Manager, Project Manager & Technical Lead
  • Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines
  • Notify the business project manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables, as soon as the he/she becomes aware of them
  • Submit Deliverables approval as they are completed
  • Comply with the business security procedures and practices
  • Comply with the business architecture/technology standards and best practices
  • Comply with the business Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines
  • Provide knowledge and skill transfer to a designated business staff
  • Comply with the business, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards and Procedures

About You

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Seibel Developer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Time Management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly to meet deadlines
  • Strong team skills with the ability to manage work independently
