Payroll Specialist - 4 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and processing of payroll and associated activities as well as the administration of benefits by updating/maintaining payroll information in the payroll system
• Prepare documentation associated with the remittances for WSIB, Employer Health Tax, company pension plan, benefit plans and union dues
• Administer the employee pension plan
• Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll
• Allocate and reconcile payments and deductions for each payroll submission in the General Ledger
• Analyze and reconcile payroll accounts to ensure that all accounts are balanced at month-end

About You

• 5-7 years of payroll experience
• Extensive working knowledge of pensions and related submission requirements
• Knowledge of payroll, benefits and pension
• Proficiency in interpreting policies, procedures, benefits and pension guidelines
• Advanced Excel, ADP experience is a strong asset

Pay Rate

$30 - $32/hour
