Payroll Analyst - 4-5 Month Contract (Closed)

Payroll Analyst - 4-5 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Process payroll for salary and hourly staff on a bi-weekly basis
• Analyze, calculate and prepare payroll entries such as prorated vacation payments upon termination, retroactive pay, STD payments, etc.
• Reconcile payroll journal entries and update general ledger as needed
• Review assigned payrolls for accuracy and ensures all payroll are received and processed successfully and timely for payroll production
• Support Pension and Benefit team on payroll deductions and reporting. Audit pension contributions and pensionable earning calculation
• Prepare and distribute Record Of Employment’s
• Payroll month-end and year-end activities, including T4 adjustments and reconciliation, monthly, quarterly and annual tax  remittances to government agencies related to EHT, WSIB, WCB, HAPSET, WHSCC, support General Ledger account balancing and employee statutory and non-statutory deductions

About You

• 5+ years of relevant payroll experience
• Strong proficiency with MS Excel
• Pursuing PCP and/or CPA designations a strong preference
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Rate

$27 - $32/hour
