Manager of Financial Reporting - 3 Month Contract to Permanent

Our client is sourcing for a Manager of Financial Reporting for a 3 month to permanent opportunity.

About the Opportunity

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Preparation of the annual pension fund statements
  • Coordination of year-end audit of financial statements
  • Accounting policy recommendation and implementation
  • IFRS lead
  • Drafting of quarterly MD&A and press releases and management business update.
  • Communication with internal stakeholders on their operating and capital financial results
  • Preparation of all public company regulatory filings
  • Preparation of the quarterly tax provision
  • Review of income tax returns prepared by CA firms and tax audit management
  • Special projects as assigned by Corporate Controller

About You

  • Financial Accounting:  advanced knowledge of current technical issues pertaining to Canadian public companies
  • IFRS expertise (implementation of 15 & 16)
  • Taxation: basic knowledge of Canadian and US tax requirements - nice to have
  • Regulatory filings:   Management’s Discussion and Analysis of results for inclusion in annual and quarterly reports; Annual Information Form; Management Information Circular
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and above average computer skills
  • Extremely analytical and highly organized
  • CPA designation with 5 to 7 years working experience
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Comfortable in dealing with people at all levels within the organization
  • High energy and interest in manufacturing operations
  • Advanced Excel

Pay Rate

$50/hour
