Manager of Financial Reporting - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Reviewing and analyzing internal/external financial reports, and assisting the Director in ensuring finance activities are accurate timely and in accordance with established legal, regulatory and plan procedures and quality standards
  • The Manager is expected to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to manage the financial needs of all sites
  • Direct responsibility for core finance, pension accounting and reporting, taxation matters and special projects as delegated by the Management Team
  • Work closely with other finance team managers as it relates to the overall financial management. Research and trust accounting, treasury, and capital
  • Oversees the financial processes/policies and internal controls of financial reporting systems, as well as ensuring compliance with legislative requirements such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), MIS reporting, Broader Public Sector directives and financial policies
  • Responsible for the management and mentorship to a team 1 Coordinator and 7 Financial Analysts

About You

  • Accounting designation
  • 7+ years of financial reporting/year-end experience
  • Experience within a Big 4 accounting firm is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exposure to large ERPs
  • Advanced Excel

Pay Rate

$50 - $55/hour
