Manager, Global Indirect Tax - 2 Year Contract (Closed)

Manager, Global Indirect Tax - 2 Year Contract

About the Opportunity

• Review Canadian, US and International indirect tax returns and other indirect tax filings
• Review monthly indirect tax account reconciliations
• Draft technical memorandum for indirect tax issues (e.g. new products, new business, new systems, reorganizations, guest or restaurant owner queries)
• Review the impact of changes in indirect tax legislation (Canada, U.S., and International)
• Review maintenance of SAP indirect tax rates, tax conditions, tax jurisdictions, and customer configurations
• Review Master data in SAP for proper taxability and configuration
• Review testing of SAP (and other) program change requests to ensure the tax changes are functioning correctly
• Manage government indirect tax audits by preparing schedules and obtaining supporting documentation
• Support internal and external stakeholders with indirect tax issues (e.g. invoice processing, billing, new product taxability)
• Assist with review of manual Accounts Receivable invoices for indirect tax
• Supervise an analyst and senior analyst in indirect tax
• Assist with ad hoc indirect tax requests from internal and external stakeholders

About You

• CPA designation
• Completion of CPA In-depth GST/HST tax courses
• 3-5 years industry or accounting firm indirect tax experience
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel: superior skills required) and SAP (preferred)
• Business or equivalent university degree with a concentration in accounting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a performance-focused and results-oriented environment

Pay Rate

$45/hour
