Intermediate Payroll Analyst - 5 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees; review timesheets for accuracy, ensure that statutory and benefit deductions are applied
• Establish, update and maintain employee information; verify pay rates, bank information, deductions and benefits. Calculate final vacation pay entitlements and process related documents as required
• Process salary changes, calculate retroactive payments and update bank information as required
• Prepare weekly remittances for external agencies such as union dues, donations, garnishments, family support, employer health tax, credit union deductions and payments

About You

• 3+ years of relevant payroll experience
• Payroll processing experience in a unionized environment is an asset
• JD Edwards experience is a strong asset
• Excellent communication skills

Pay Rate

$24 - $25/hour
