Java Developer - 3 Month Contract (Closed)

ARE YOU A STRONG JAVA DEVELOPER WHO TAKES PRIDE IN BUILDING QUALITY CODE IN A TEAM FOCUSED ENVIRONMENT? Our Burlington based client is currently hiring a Java Developer to work on a localization project connecting a US based application locally here in the GTA.

Java Developer - 3 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Advanced level programming with Java technologies
• Expert experience with  localization, integration and development
• Expert level experience with Spring along with MVC and BOOT
• Expert level experience with RESTful Web Services Implementation
• Experience with Mercurial, Jenkins, Linux and Tomcat
• Awareness of CI/CD
• Experience with secure development practices (familiar with OWASP)
• Experience with Unit Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Performance testing
• Expert level in writing SQL Queries, PL/SQL Stored Procedures, functions, packages, Database Triggers
• Experience writing SQL Queries
• Extensive experience with JBoss and DB2 is required
• Experience with thread synchronization, multi-processing, multi-thread programming
• Experience with Shell Scripts and Perl
• Experience with database initialization
• Managing code releases and developed API’s
• Report project updates to the team as required

About You

• A degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• At least 6 years experience with the required skill set
• Strong ability to produce quality, well-written code
• Strong documentation skills
• Strong ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Strong team player
• Strong ability to work independently
• Flexible working schedule and ability to meet deadlines
