Investor Services Associate

About the Opportunity

  • Operation for a hedge fund transfer agency group providing services on behalf of various fund clients
  • Provide investor and dealer services for various hedge fund clients in Canadian, US and Offshore Jurisdictions
  • Process and review investor subscription and redemption transactions ensuring all information is accurate
  • Maintain and reconcile the investor share registry ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Respond to inquiries from direct investors, dealers and investment managers
  • Participate in system testing when required; make recommendations to management for added functionality and system enhancements where necessary
  • Assist with the conversion of new client data and files on to the company’s fund administration and accounting platforms
  • Various ad hoc projects and administration/compliance responsibilities as required
  • Perform trust accounting duties, including the issuance of cheques, processing of wires and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Deliver quality customer service through timely and accurate report delivery
  • Provide clients with prompt responses to service issues or queries in a professional manner that consistently exceeds clients’ expectations
  • Maintain clients’ on-site reports in an organized manner

About You

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with at least 1 year of hedge fund administration experience
  • Experience with quality control review an asset
  • Knowledge of industry best practices with exposure to Anti Money Laundering requirements
  • Previous experience with conversation or launching new funds an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and experience with transfer agency and accounting platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Pay Rate

$45,000 - $50,000/year
