IT Sharepoint Administrator - 12 Month Contract

Our client’s goal is to support the ministry and mission of the congregations, regions and other mission units. They are working ecumenically and in global partnership, faithfully, collaboratively and effectively. Within the Finance Unit, IT Services is responsible for providing a secure, robust and accessible computing environment for the General Council Offices, while aligning and supporting General Council Office and Regional Councils’ goals.

Responsibilities include providing hardware, software, and systems support in a Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environment with emphasis on SharePoint online knowledge and expertise. This position also provides Tier 2 support, responding to emails, documenting, tracking and routing issues in a ticket tracking system, and primary setup and administration of Office 365 SharePoint online site collections.

About the Opportunity

  • Administer cloud-based Office 365 platform including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Skype for Business, Exchange Online, Outlook, etc.
  • SharePoint configuration, administration, access control, support and maintenance
  • Focus on SharePoint adoption, configuration and set up custom SharePoint sites for various business units and working groups
  • Perform advanced SharePoint configurations (Webparts, Custom views, Workflows)
  • Coordinate data migrations, forms, site creation and changes, integrations with other Microsoft systems, such as Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Monitor and maintain Anti-virus (TrendMicro), Backup (Veritas Backup Exec), Active Directory, SANs (Dell), and Windows Servers (Dell)
  • Utilize remote assistance tools to troubleshoot and resolve remote user issues
  • Collaborate with external Service Providers to ensure adherence to contracts, review and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from different cultures and coordinate with various personnel and leaders

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting SharePoint Online
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a network and systems support position
  • Office 365 and SharePoint Technical Support experience
  • Experience working with SharePoint managed metadata and term store
  • Experience administrating, supporting and maintaining Windows Server (2008+), Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, Anti-virus, Backup systems, Enterprise Firewalls, Wired and Wireless networking protocols
  • Experience using PowerShell and/or Automated Scripts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016/365 Suites, Microsoft Azure Services and Databases
  • Knowledge of Digital Records Management in SharePoint
