Financial Reporting Consultant - 3-4 Month Contract

Our client is looking for a resource to assist them for a 3-4 month contract and provide key support in the preparation of accurate, reliable and timely financial information to various internal and external users of the financial information.

About the Opportunity

  • Assist / Lead the preparation of legal entity financial statements for tax reporting requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of annual external financial statements and related management discussion and analysis for SEC and OSC filing requirements
  • Conduct research on complex accounting topics and issues and translate how they impact the company and be able to summarize them succinctly and present to senior management
  • Be able to understand the internal controls over financial reporting implications of new accounting requirements and be able to identify key controls and design effective processes
  • Other ad hoc requests

About You

  • Accounting designation is required
  • 3+ Years of working experience, acquired in financial accounting and reporting role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of IFRS is required
  • Experience with US GAAP is an asset
  • Familiarity with public company disclosure requirements, including SEC and OSC filing requirements
  • Experience working with rate regulated accounting is a definite asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Skilled with MS Office

Pay Rate

$40/hour
