Our client is sourcing for a Finance Manager for a 16 month contract.

About the Opportunity

The manager is accountable for financial planning, reporting and financial risk management. 

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance team, including accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable
• Ensure timely and accurate recording, analysis and reporting of financial information and preparation of financial statements to the VP, Finance
• Support VP, Finance with capital investment analysis, financial analysis and financial modeling in order to provide financial and management decision-making information
• Participate as a team member in contract negotiations, providing financial costing and analysis in order for management to make sound decisions
• Provide regular financial reports to VP, Finance and Senior Team members and assists with the interpretation of reports
• Prepare quarterly/ad-hoc reports for external funders
• Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors
• Organize the planning and consolidation of the annual operating and capital budgets and prepares budget detail for all expenditures and revenue including wages and salaries
• Prepare regular financial forecasts and ensure that budget target is met at the end of the year with the management group
• Identify risks and inefficiencies and works with the Senior Management team in collaboration with the VP, Finance to develop and implement solutions to mitigate risk
• Provide consistent communication and feedback, coaching and motivation to the Finance team
• Actively participates, collaborates with, and provides solutions to support the Finance team members and VP to achieve strategic goals and objectives

About You

• CPA designation or close to designation
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferably at the Manager level
• Experience in a community health care environment and general knowledge of the Ontario health care system is an asset
• Proven knowledge of budgeting and financial planning
• A solid understanding of financial and regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Canada Revenue Agency regulatory requirements
• Strategic and innovative thinker and receptive to change with an eye for detail and quality
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with an ability to nurture and maintain a positive working relationship with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Professional with strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage projects

Pay Rate

$40/hour
