Divisional Controller - 6 Month Contract to Permanent

Our client is sourcing for a Divisional Controller for 6 month to permanent opportunity.

About the Opportunity

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting and control systems, guaranteeing the accurate presentation of financial results
  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close including: journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, etc.
  • Management financial reporting
  • Maintains a system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of internal controls designed to mitigate risk
  • Actively participate, make recommendations and provide analysis on the execution of the strategic plan and initiatives
  • Provide advice to the management team on interpretation of operating results and trends
  • Enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Act as the company's Compliance Officer, liaison with auditors
  • Provides an interface between finance and other departments
  • Supervising staff of 2 within the accounting team
  • Assist with ERP implementation project

About You

  • CPA designation
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience with knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures and systems, in a hands-on fashion, and will be adept at building and implementing controls and reporting systems that provide outstanding financial reports for decision-making purposes
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills in order to guide and support direct reports in accomplishing individual, team and organizational goals
  • Ability to hold a strong right hand to general management, and knows when to raise issues and concerns appropriately
  • Large ERP experience and advanced Excel
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, rapport and relationships at multiple levels of the organization

Pay Rate

$40/hour
