Our client is one of Canada’s largest real estate companies, specializing in the healthcare industry. They are looking for a Director of Payroll will have overall accountability for the company’s payroll function.

About the Opportunity

• Payroll processing, payroll taxes, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, internal controls, reporting, system review and upgrades
• Principal contact with related vendors and for payroll compliance issues or audits
• Producing relevant and timely reports, providing the leadership team with in-depth analyses, and identifying issues and trends, which may affect overall profitability of the operation
• Serving as subject matter expert for all aspects of payroll, including payroll tax and reporting
• Track and report Payroll performance metrics / KPIs to key business stakeholders

About You

• Professional designation preferred (CPP)
• 6+ years of experience in a leadership role with a multi-jurisdictional payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll mechanics, year-end processes, payroll tax filings, and functional reporting
• Experience with UltiPro Payroll, ADP is preferred
• Experience in health care working with multiple unionized payrolls

Salary

$110,000 - $125,000/year
