Controller, VP Finance

About the Opportunity

• Responsible for full accounting cycle, credit, finance and asset management
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and standards
• Develop financial objectives for the Company as a whole and for each profit and cost center
• Develop financial standards against which to compare Company results (e.g., trend analyses, forecasts, budgets, industry standards)
• Prepare both operating and capital budgets, and consolidate Company budgets
• Manage cash flow - raise cash through liquidation of aged inventory
• Assist the President, branch, and department managers in analyzing financial data and recommend corrective action, when applicable
• Supervise financial aspects of leasing programs
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with lending institutions and insurance companies
• Develop and proposes credit policies
• Manage data processing work
• Supervise collection activities (Credit Manager)  and Account Payable
• Supervise all accounting and credit personnel
• Prepare timely monthly financial statements
• Assist with all internal and external audits
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act Supervisors/ Managers’ Responsibilities
• Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values
• Perform other duties as required

About You

• Accounting Designation (CPA)
• 7+ years of experience in Full Cycle Accounting in a mid-sized company
• Willingness to roll up the sleeves and be hands-on with operations

Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000/year
