About the Company

Our client is a private organization in the education industry who values innovation, creativity and collaboration and belief in their brand. They are looking for a Controller who will report to the VP of Finance and be responsible for managing all transactional accounting aspects of the business and reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll and their day-to-day responsibilities
• Month-end close process completed within agreed timelines
• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate follow-up
• Completion of reporting packages
• Year-end close – preparation of audit work papers
• Support the annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting processes
• Ensuring cash is managed effectively and efficiently
• Ensure appropriate controls are in place throughout the business and establish processes to monitor compliance

About You

• CPA
• 7+ years of experience including at least two years in a supervisory role and one year of Canadian Payroll experience
• Strong knowledge and understanding of ASPE
• Highly analytical, organized, process driven and results-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000/year
