About the Company

Our client is a large retailer with stores located across Canada. This private company is looking to add a Controller to their finance team to be responsible for managing the financial operations and providing timely and accurate financial information to the business.

About the Opportunity

  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting operations
  • Monitor internal controls; define, measure, analyze, improve and control current processes
  • Prepare, analyze and present the monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for stakeholders
  • Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making
  • Coordinate the year-end audit and prepare audited annual financial statements
  • Prepare tax and bank financial statements & external covenant reporting to financial institutions
  • Ensure rapid and consistent collection of receivables by refining and implementing control mechanisms

About You

  • CPA (CA preferred)
  • 8-10 years of working experience in the retail/CPG industry with managerial experience
  • IFRS reporting experience
  • Strong Excel, analytical and business process skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range

$115,000 - $125,000/year (strongly dependent on candidate experience)
