Collections Specialist - 3-6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Follow up with customers that have not provided payment, or updated payment details to obtain the necessary payment
  • Brainstorm new ideas to quickly and effectively gather customer contact information such as email addresses, change of address etc. and train staff accordingly
  • Proactively communicate with clients with expiring payment instructions to ensure that payment is received on time
  • Generate ideas and improvements to collection procedures, with the goal to reduce the overall Accounts Receivable base
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with Client Services in matters relevant to effective client communication

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent, computer training, supplemented with some accounting knowledge
  • A minimum of three years of experience in B2C collections
  • GP and CRM database experience preferred
  • Call centre experience a nice to have
  • Ability to manage and impart confidential information
  • Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records
  • Ability to secure and handle credit card transactions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, within short time constraints and act with the appropriate sense of urgency
  • Ability to answer questions in a clear and concise manner

Pay Rate

$23 - $24/hour
