Collections Specialist - 12 Month Contract
About the Opportunity
- Follow up with customers that have not provided payment, or updated payment details to obtain the necessary payment
- Brainstorm new ideas to quickly and effectively gather customer contact information and train staff accordingly
- Proactively communicate with clients with expiring payment instructions to ensure payment is received on time
- Generate ideas and improvements to collection procedures, with goal to reduce the overall Accounts Receivable base
- Develop and maintain internal relationships with Client Services in matters relevant to effective client communication
About You
- High school diploma or equivalent, computer training, supplemented with some accounting knowledge
- Technical skills and business knowledge
- A minimum of three years of experience in collections, B2C experience is preferred
- GP and CRM database experience preferred
- Ability to manage and impart confidential information
- Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records
- Ability to secure and handle credit card transactions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, within short time constraints and act with appropriate sense of urgency
- Ability to answer questions in a clear and concise manner
- Good communication skills and someone who is driven
- Soft collections with a focus on relationship building; ability to connect with customers over the phone in a non-abrasive manner
- Ideally someone with Healthcare collections experience
- 40-50 calls per day - inbound and outbound; $3,000/day in collections (people usually exceed this)
Pay Rate
$22.50/hour
