Collections Specialist - 3-6 Month Contract

Location: Brampton, ON

About the Opportunity

• Work with different groups to obtain or create an outdated accounts receivables list
• Ensure follow up with the business and vendors for collection of the amount that is outstanding
• Review the aged balances and ensure write-offs are based on corporate policy
• Review monthly write-offs by vendors and by department, and ensure they are minimal
• Follow up with the vendors to ensure that the money owed to the company and is collected in a timely manner
• Coordinate with the business teams and merchants for any significant amount outstanding
• Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize accounts receivable collection and balances

About You

• 3-5 of experience in a collections or accounts receivable role
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good analytical skills with the ability to make sound recommendations
• Attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Able to working independently and take initiative, and is reliable in attaining expected results
• Experience of working with a large organization is an asset

Pay Rate

$22/hour
