Azure Cloud Engineer - 12 Month Contract

We are hiring a Cloud Engineer (Azure) to help a mid-size company move some of their applications and virtualized infrastructure to Azure. We are looking for an individual who has been a part of such transition, and thoroughly understands Azure capabilities and limitations, best practices, etc.

About the Opportunity

• Help the organization get to the cloud: CRM, .NET Applications, SQL Server / DW workloads, AD
• Help design and document Azure architectures to support existing and new workloads
• Consult the internal IT teams on which applications should be moved to Azure, and which should not
• Install, configure and implement Azure services as needed
• Assist in the resolution of issues encountered during the implementation of solutions if required
• Assist in the assignment and coordination of projects and tasks to complete solutions

About You

• Proven experience with helping organization(s) moving internal applications to Azure cloud services (discovery, design, implementation, cut-overs, etc)
• Understanding of Azure / MSSQL server transition, cut-over
• Strong VMware skills
• Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, 2008 R2 – 2016
• Experience with Azure CI/CD and devops/automation concepts is a plus

Salary

$110,000 - $115,000/year
