Accounts Payable Specialist - 12 Month Contract
About the Opportunity
- Coordinate and support the Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure that all domestic invoice are prepared, audited, and posted in the system
- Prepare and distribute monthly invoices and inquiry volume reports, as well as any ad hoc report requests that may arise
- Confirm all pricing discrepancies with procurement, tracking confirmed prices for accuracy and reference
- Liaison between dealers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies, and request and process any credits to ensure accurate payments and billings
- Prepare, send and track purchase order or scheduling agreement invoice discrepancy correspondence to vendors with clearly identified actions and requirements for resolutions
- Request for statements, and reconcile assigned purchase order, miscellaneous billing and/or scheduling agreement accounts
- Monitor, investigate and reply to all vendor, dealer, warehouse, and business related inquiries
- Prepare pricing and financial summary reports for analysis
- Support General Ledger for month-end journal entry processing for period end activities
About You
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, finance/accounting focus
- Pursuing CPA designation an asset
- 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
- A great attitude and proven ability to be an effective business partner, team player, and collaborator
- Partners at all levels of the organization, with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record in ability to deliver results on time and accurately, utilizing effective organizational and time management skills
- Focus on process optimization and improvement
- Strong computer skills including intermediate Excel skills, SAP experience an asset
Pay Rate
$22 - $23/hour
