Accounts Payable Specialist - 1 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Ensure all types of accounts payable are being consistently processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Critically review all accounts payables for accuracy and validity
  • Establish a payment schedule for each division/department and collect invoices from the branches
  • Code invoices and assist with coding invoices as appropriate
  • Investigate aged payables on a monthly basis
  • Review invoices, verify billed amounts to purchase orders and packing slips
  • Address all vendor queries in a timely manner. Call and email vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile vendor accounts
  • Establish and maintain coding documentation outlining types of charges and vendors codes to each division and account
  • Prepare month-end expense analysis reports for Directors

About You

  • Minimum 3 years business experience in a full cycle Accounts Payable role
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or Accounting
  • Experience with expense report processing
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • High degree of organizational skills
  • Proven customer relationship skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong multi-tasking skills required
  • Ability to meet tight, sometimes competing deadlines
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Able to communicate a positive image of the organization, both internally and externally

Pay Rate

$18 - $22/hour
