About the Opportunity

• Process accounts payable invoices, including the electronic receipt and verification of invoices for accuracy, and ensuring appropriate approval prior to processing
• Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices to recover cash discounts
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of aged items
• Communicate with suppliers to discuss invoices and resolve issues
• Process cheques and electronic payments, including coordinating the release of funds with Treasury and distributing payments
• Administer Travel Card and Purchase Card program, including communicating with and assisting employees, and card administration
• Approve and audit Concur expense reports and releasing for payment
• Lead role in the continuous project to improve Accounts Payable efficiencies, including the transition to automated Accounts Payable processing

About You

• 5 years of progressive experience in an Accounts Payable role with similar responsibilities, including improving Accounts Payable efficiencies and resolving issues
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with co-workers and suppliers
• Experience working in an automated, paperless Accounts Payable system
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable ERP system an asset

Salary

$60,000 - $65,000/year
