Accounts Payable Clerk - 12 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Data enter invoices for payment
  • Inputting data into general ledger
  • Process backup reports after data entry
  • Manage the weekly cheque run
  • Record all cheques
  • Arrange vendor cheques for mailing
  • Assemble manual cheques as and when required
  • Keep updated vendor files and file numbers
  • Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files
  • Perform other related duties as required

About You

  • 3 - 5 years’ work experience, including two (2) years in a similar position
  • SAP experience
  • Law firm experience is considered an asset; experience working in an office setting is a requirement
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Precise, meticulous, attention to detail; and excellent written and oral communications are required
  • Good judgment, respect for the client and discretion
  • Versatility and flexibility
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset (e.g. English/French)

Pay Rate

$20 - $25/hour
