About the Company

Our client is a growing organization in the foodservice and manufacturing industry. They are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for performing data entry, maintaining ledgers and accurate processing of payment documents. Our client can provide you with opportunities for lateral growth and cohesive work environment.

About the Opportunity

• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor to maintain collection goals and general Accounts Payable performance level
• Obtain approval for disbursements and ensure expenditures do not exceed available cash
• Audit purchase requests for materials, supplies, equipment, and other collateral; verifies that orders are charged to the proper accounts
• Post and reconcile company payments to general ledgers
• Review bills to the company for potential errors and/or discrepancies
• Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to vendor account
• Balance daily Accounts Payable batches

About You

• College Diploma in accounting, finance, or business administration
• 1-5 years direct experience in an Accounts Payable capacity
• Ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong knowledge of payment regulations and fair credit practices
• Advanced proficiency with Accpac
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Salary

$40,000 - $45,000/year
