About the Company

Our client is a large retailer with stores located across Canada. This private company is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their finance team who will be responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Review monthly journal entries and research activity and variances during month-end close process
• Design, prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports
• Prepare certain high risk and/or complex journal entries
• Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded
• Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of general ledger account reconciliations (monthly and quarterly)
• Prepare and/or review audit schedules as required during annual audit, working with external auditors on requirements
• Work with the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury teams

About You

• CPA
• 5+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge reporting under IFRS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel user

Salary Range

$77,000 - $95,000/year (strongly dependent on candidate experience)
