Accounting Assistant - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Calculate and prepare sales commission reports based on sales reports and invoices and in compliance with existing company policies
  • Process and post employee expense reports and related employee credit card statements
  • Assist in posting sales orders and generating and sending invoices
  • Process and post work orders for repair and service works
  • Liaising with sales persons and employees in resolving commission and expense queries
  • Resolving work-related problems; preparing and submitting progress and other reports
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance

About You

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Accounting knowledge preferred but not required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, Word processing skills
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Sound knowledge of various computer applications
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Committed to accepting and meeting deadlines
  • Post secondary degree in related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Superior documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in both technical and business teams
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively

Pay Rate

$16 - $18/hour
