This client is a stable and growing organization eagerly searching for a VP of Finance.

About the Opportunity  

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established regulation, law, ethical standards, contracts and company policies and procedures
• Monitor overall control environment including SOX and COSO requirements
• Research new accounting pronouncements and other technical literature, evaluate applicability to the business, analyze impact on business and communicate findings to senior management and head office
• Perform accounting research and ad hoc analysis, present result of findings and create/update documentation to reflect changes in systems, personnel, procedures, etc.
• Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of the financial reporting and accounting close processes, including budgeting, capital projections and forecasting
• Serve as a key point of contact and ensure effective communication among staff, internal audit, external auditors, and regulators
• Oversee finance related systems development projects, test design and implementation
• Responsible to assist in the design and implementation of finance related system changes

About You

• Designated professional (CPA, CA)
• Currently at the Director of Finance level or more senior in another financial services or insurance company
• Previous experience managing a team in the past

Salary Range
$130,000-$145,000/year
