Technical Client Advisor (Linux SME)

About the Opportunity

You will take part in a pivotal and exciting full-time position within a growing private international company. This role provides leadership, guidance and hands-on support to our enterprise B2B customers that use our solutions based on Unix/Linux platforms.

• Install, configure and support Linux/Unix servers and operating systems
• 30% of your day will consist of remotely troubleshooting any networking and protocol-related issues that arise in clients' large environments 
• 70% of your day will be consumed by providing proactive recommendations and guidance to clients as it relates to their Unix/Linux environments
• Schedule installations, upgrades and patching in accordance with established procedures
• Provide Premium/VIP phone/remote support to premium customers for issues that relate to our Unix/Linux platform product
• Provide telephone support to end users for network and server issues
• Write, edit and revise documentation for product development, support services and customer/end-user activities

About You

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an administrator or technical account manager on enterprise level Unix/Linux environments
• Strong experience in (or strong desire for) client-facing (b2b, not b2c) technical account advisor role that revolves around Linux- and Network- based products
• Expert understanding of network protocols, including DNS and default gateways, and experience collecting information for troubleshooting network issues at packet level
• General understanding and ability to configure/maintain the following: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPAM, SNMP, FTP
• Must understand shell scripts, their purpose, use and selection
• Linux/Unix server management, installing and patching applications

Pay Range
$95,000-$105,000/year
