About the Opportunity  

Leadership & Relationship Management

• Manage communication and implementation of various tax initiatives with respect to operating sites

Tax Compliance

• Prepare income tax returns for the Firm and all relevant Canadian legal entities
• Prepare the filings for other types of tax returns (e.g. sales tax returns) on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis as required
• Monitor the Firm’s global tax compliance
• Maintain schedules of Canadian tax attributes relating to surplus

Tax Accounting and Reporting

• Assist in reviewing foreign entities deferred tax analysis, tax rate reconciliations and tax account reconciliations
• Liaise with the accounting group to ensure the tax implications of all significant transactions and accounting changes are appropriately reflected in the quarterly and year-end tax reporting

Tax Risk Management

• Assist with the development of additional tax process documentation to continually improve the internal controls over tax reporting at the Firm
• Interact with a wide range of internal departments (finance, treasury, legal) and external advisors (legal counsel, tax advisors) as part of risk management

About You

• CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation
• 3+ years of progressive corporate tax and/or international tax experience in either a public accounting firm or industry
• In-depth tax course is an asset

Salary Range
$80,000 - $85,000/year
