Senior Windows Systems Administrator

As a Windows Senior Systems Engineer, you will have standard Systems Administrator responsibilities, as well as additional more-complex and unique duties and assignments. The IT group supports mid-large scale virtual environments that serve as development platforms, build servers, product test rigs, and various other systems to support the development and test activities of a fast-paced development team. Our client needs help with supporting Windows environment for the entire enterprise, SCCM environment, Windows patching and Windows Support for the entire enterprise. This position will also focus on automation and scripting.

About the Opportunity

• Develop, deploy, and maintain the following types of technology: SCCM
  • Windows OS Patching
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Virtual and cloud server platforms
  • Data centre network and Active Directory/Exchange infrastructure
  • Operating system deployment tools
  • Configuration management systems
• Work hand-in-hand with the ERP development team to design and provide infrastructure to meet their product development objectives

About You

• BS in Computer Science, similar technical degree or equivalent directly applicable experience
• 7+ years’ of experience working as a system administrator, systems engineer, or server side support position
• Experience with technologies supporting an enterprise scale infrastructure: 
  • Experience with virtual infrastructure, enterprise systems, supporting development teams and driving continuous improvements to their support and testing systems
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare) including design, deployment, maintenance, and scaling
  • Configuration Management (Puppet or other)
  • Advanced PowerShell and the ability to automate systems management task
  • Active Directory and Exchange management and related network services experience
• Strong communicator; possess and understands that central documentation is important to team success
• Ability to write for a company-wide audience of all skill levels
• Skilled problem solver; you love tackling the most difficult of challenges and know how to get to the best solution

Pay Range
$95,000-$100,000/year
