Senior Tax Consultant

Our client is a leader in the utilities industry and is looking for an experienced Tax professional to join their team.

About the Opportunity  

• Coordinate quarter and year-end financial statement corporate tax process
• Complete and file corporate income tax returns and related working papers
• Performance and review of tax research and tax planning
• First point of contact with external auditors and consultants
• Provide corporate tax advice to various business units
• Prepare, assist and deliver presentations to various business units
• Review and prepare internal tax opinions
• Review and prepare month-end tax entries to the general ledger
• Deliver various tax technical presentations throughout the year to internal clients

About You

• Completion of undergraduate bachelor’s degree and a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
• Strong accounting background obtained through a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent industry experience gained at a large corporation preferred
• Completion of CICA In Depth Tax course or Mtax program desirable
• Progressive tax experience obtained through a minimum of three years working full time in tax at a public accounting firm or large corporation in industry for a total of at least 5 years’ experience combined accounting and tax

Salary Range
$85,000-$95,000/year
