About the Company

Our client is a large bank located downtown, and they are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join their corporate tax team. Responsibilities include managing corporate tax matters including planning, compliance, reporting, strategy, governance and liaising with revenue authorities.

About the Opportunity  

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end income tax provisions and related schedules such as deferred tax continuity, taxes payable continuity, etc.
• Prepare and post journal entries to tax accounts as required
• Reconcile tax accounts and perform attestations as required
• Provide support in forecasting and modelling tax expense
• Prepare federal and provincial tax returns and related schedules
• Calculate required monthly installments and make payments or provide instructions for payments to be made
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements at the Senior Tax Analyst level and respond to queries from Internal Audit
• Review and reconcile assessments and reassessments received from tax authorities

About You

• Accounting designation
• 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and reporting
• Financial services experience is preferred but not necessary

Salary Range
$80,000-$85,000/year
