Senior Manager of Finance

Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Manager of Finance in order to take on a challenging opportunity in one of their largest revenue generating business units.

About the Opportunity  

• Develop financial models to support accounting analyses and decisions
• Lead the design of financial and business processes to support month-end close and internal controls
• Engage with IT to understand system impacts
• Partner with Operations to enact required process changes
• Analyze the accuracy and reliability of monthly financial results to ensure the integrity of IFRS 15 financial reporting
• Perform analytical reviews of results and investigating unusual significant variances
• Support special projects including researching and summarizing the impact of IFRS 15 accounting standard on new business initiatives
• Coach and develop team members

About You

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience (preferably at a large public accounting firm) or in a Controller/similar role
• Strong IFRS technical accounting background with specific experience in IFRS 15
• Superior interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence and engage key stakeholders
• Must demonstrate organizational awareness and have the ability to develop strong relationships across cross-functional teams and management levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a team, provide constructive coaching, and foster a positive and rewarding work environment for direct reports
• Highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute on multiple priorities without missing a beat
• Able to apply sound logic and strategic analysis to provide well-developed solutions to identified issues
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and Teradata would be a plus
• Experience in Telecom industry would be an asset

Salary Range
$80,000-$95,000/year
